We
have owned Thunder for years and he has taught my daughters so
much, has taken them far and taken very good care of them in the
process! He is an amazing pony that puts his heart into
everything he does. We started Thunder gaming when we bought him
four years ago and he has been to Champ Show every year since.
Last year he qualified over 30 times and was shown by our then
nine year old, placing 10th in Pony Poles. This year he
qualified 31 times (with more limited showing) and was shown in
all the individual events (barrels, poles, JF8, key race,
pennant, speed dash) along with rescue race. Thunder is ALWAYS
in the ribbons, seldom placing below 1st or 2nd showing Pony or
PeeWee classes at the open shows. He has won MANY open show high
point awards (halters, haybag, chair, saddle cover) and has
received more trophies and ribbons than we would care to count!
He also received the R&J Arena Spring Series PeeWee Buckle in
May of this year. I would have to say that Thunder's best event
is pole weaving but he does all the events and does them very
well. He just got his best pole time ever in August, a 12.658 so
he is still extremely consistent and very competitive!
Since we have owned him, Thunder has never been sick or lame (no shoes required, he has awesome hooves) and he is always ready to go and give it his all whenever/wherever asked. He is a very stunning pony as well and has been pictured in the local papers a few times. Thunder rides bareback and double. Has done every and all game classes you can think of along with a 4-H costume class. He has been ridden in several parades and has done some cattle sorting. Thunder is also an excellent trail pony. He can keep up with the big horses without a problem, does great with overnight camping and he is not spooky. We are only offering Thunder up for sale because both my daughters are moving up to horses after Champ Show. If your son or daughter knows how to ride and wants a competitive pony that you can trust, Thunder is the pony for you. In literally hundreds of times he's entered the arena to run games with either of my daughters, he has never offered to buck or rear and they have always been safe. Thunder is a very special pony and we will be very selective on where he goes. He is up to date on everything. He loads, trailers, trims, clips all fine. You will look LONG and HARD to find another pony like Thunder (we know, we've been there). Please email or call with questions, for more pictures and/or for his 2008 Champ Show results. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE!! |
